Take Your Tutor with You!
Updated: Aug 27
One of the things I love most about private, online tutoring is all of the different kids I get to meet all over North America. Most of my students live in the United States, so I get to hear about their adventures crabbing in Washington state, hitting the slopes in Virginia, or taking the train from the Bronx to Coney Island in New York.
However, another exciting aspect of this virtual gig is that I also get to travel abroad with my students! Some of my long-term American and Canadian students have families who live in far-off lands. They visit for weeks -- or sometime months -- at a time, and I get to visit with them virtually and hear all about their exciting experiences!
I tutor siblings who recently travelled to Nigeria to visit their large extended family. And I tutored a sixth-grader who lived in India last summer with her grandmother. A high school student of mine even lived in Greece for a few months, then moved to the Isle of Man. It's so much fun to hear their stories about their experiences.
Take a look at all the places I've gotten to travel to virtually on the map!
